Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus at Rest Haven

A Huge Historical Day for the Village of Monroe, New York

On December 7 at 10:30am, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be landing by helicopter (weather permitting) at

Smith Clove Park,133 Spring St, Monroe, NY

Santa will be greeted by kids of all ages, Monroe Police Department, Monroe Fire Department and Monroe Ambulance Corps when landing.

In an historical decision, the Mombasha Fire Department members overwhelming approved the participation of their 1925 restored fire truck (weather permitting) to transport Santa and Mrs. Claus to Rest Haven from

Smith Clove Park.

Historically, from 1925 to mid-1950s, this fire truck was commissioned and charged with protecting Rest Haven.

Rest Haven closed in 1968.  Formerly owned by the American Foundation for the Blind & Arc of Orange County.

At about 11am, Santa & Mrs. Claus will leave Smith Clove Park on board the fire truck followed by a horse drawn wagon. They will exit onto Spring Street, make a left towards Lake Street, continuing onto Lakes Road to:

Rest Haven at 236 High Street.

Upon arriving at Rest Haven, you will be greeted by a string quartet (Foyer) and several of Santa elves. To your left (Dining Room) you will be able to write letters to Santa with Mrs. Claus.

As you pass the string quartet, you will see our Historical Record Room (Parlor) with our christmas tree.

Continuing further back to the Greeting Room (Billiard Room), you will be met by Santa, himself.

This is free and open to the public.
